About the Bison
- After competing in nine tournaments dating back to the start of the fall season in September, Bucknell is set to tee it up this weekend at the 2026 Patriot League Championship. This is the 35th Patriot League Championship, and the Bison are looking to win it for the fourth time.
- The championship utilizes a play-6/count-4 format, and Bucknell's six-man lineup will feature James Robbins, Taylor Kuehn, Jack Hartman, Hayden Quinn, James Key, and Jaxon Brown.
- Bucknell will play with Colgate and Navy in the first round on Friday, with tee times ranging from 9:00-9:50 a.m.
- The team champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals. The individual medalist also earns a spot if he is not already a member of the winning team.
- Hartman and Patrick Pritsios are returning All-Patriot League selections after finishing T-4th and T-12th, respectively at last year's tournament at the Bucknell Golf Club. Hartman was also named PL Rookie of the Year. While Hartman will be back in the lineup this year, Pritsios will miss the championship due to a knee injury.
- Robbins and Key are seniors who will be playing in their final Patriot League Championship. Robbins has been a mainstay in the Bison lineup and will go off on Friday in the team's No. 1 spot in the lineup. After shooting 72-71-73 at Penn State last week, he has a solid 74.0 spring scoring average. Meanwhile, Key will be playing in his first tournament of the season after sitting out due to injury.
- Hartman has three under-par rounds this spring and leads the team with a 73.6 average. Kuehn has played his best golf of the season in the last several weeks and is tied for second on the team with Robbins with a 74.0 spring average.
- The freshman Brown grabbed the sixth spot in the lineup with a birdie on the 27th and final hole of the team's qualifying playoff.
- Bucknell is coming off a T-10th finish at Penn State's Rutherford Intercollegiate. Robbins was the low Bison in T-23rd, and Kuehn was one stroke behind after posting rounds of 71-74-72 on the par-71 Penn State Blue Course.
- Bucknell has won the Patriot League men's golf title three times, all in a four-year span in 2006, 2007, and 2009.
- The Bison hosted last year's championship and tied for fourth place with Colgate. It was tight at the top, with Loyola (849) holding off Holy Cross (850) by one shot to claim the team title. Army finished third at 854, followed by Bucknell and Lehigh at 855. Navy (861), Lafayette (865), and Lehigh (873) rounded out the field.
- Jack Hartman shot 69-71-70 for an even-par 210, good for a tie for fourth place. His birdie on the 54th hole helped the Bison catch Colgate for fourth in the team standings. Holy Cross' Nolan Schuermann and Lafayette's Quint Dingledine tied for the individual lead at 2-under 208, and Schuermann won the championship with a par on the first playoff hole. Loyola's Gustavo Rangel was third at 1-under.
- Army has hosted the Patriot League Championship five times previously: 1992, 1997, 2002, 2009, and 2014. Bucknell won the 2009 championship at the West Point Golf Club with rounds of 295-297-292. Andrew Cohen shot 71-68-69 to earn the individual title.
- Bucknell finished fifth in each of the other four championships hosted by Army. The Black Knights won the title on their home course in 1992 and 2002, with Lehigh winning in 1997 and Loyola in 2014.
