LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell women's lacrosse is heading on the road for its final game of the regular season as it faces Loyola (Md.) on Thursday, April 23 at 6 p.m. with a home playoff game on the line for the Bison.

Bucknell currently sits at 9-5 overall and 5-3 in the Patriot League after falling to Boston on Saturday afternoon. Loyola (Md.) comes into the final game of the regular season 10-6 overall and 6-2 in Patriot League play after falling to Holy Cross on Saturday. With a win over Loyola or a Holy Cross win over Boston University, the Bison will clinch a home playoff game for Sunday.

Loyola leads the series 21-0 with Bucknell since the teams first met in 1982. In their last meeting, the Greyhounds defeated the Bison 19-6.

Megan Krestinski earned Patriot League Attacker of the Week once so far this season (3/30).

Bucknell welcomed two new assistant coaches in the offseason; Emily Mitarotonda and Emma Telatovich.
The Bison also welcomed 12 freshmen this season, the largest class amongst the team.
Bucknell returned 26 players from the 2025 roster including 2025 All-Patriot League Second Team players Megan Krestinski and Jess Leon.
Bucknell lost top offensive powerhouses Allie Boyce and Taylor McClain to graduation.

Bucknell's Last Time Out

Bucknell women's lacrosse fell to Boston University 13-4 in its final home game of the regular season at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. The Bison are now 9-5 overall and 5-3 in the Patriot League with a potential home quarterfinal game on the line with one-game left to play in the regular season.
Boston University held the momentum through the first half as it rode a 4-0 scoring run to a 5-3 lead at the break. The Terriers then used the second half to extend its lead and earn a 13-4 road win to clinch a playoff berth.
Boston out-shot Bucknell 23-16 overall and 12-9 in shots on goal. Elle Stevenson led the Terrier scoring with four goals and one assist. Caleigh Cummiskey led the Bison in scoring with two goals in the contest. Caroline Sheridan and Regan Sansiviero rounded out Bucknell scoring with one each. Megan Krestinski led the Bison in assists with two on the afternoon.
Despite the loss, Bucknell won the ground ball battle 19-14 and the draw control battle 10-9. Jess Leon and Kate Hearns led the Bison in ground balls with four each. Juliana Pagano led Bucknell in draw controls with five.
The Bison recorded 21 turnovers to the Terriers 18. The caused turnover battle ended an even 12-12. Anna Cornell led Bucknell with three.

Loyola (Md.) at a Glance

The Greyhounds enter the final game of the regular season 10-6 overall and 6-2 in the Patriot League.
Loyola's first two conference losses since they joined the Patriot League this season as they were defeated by #24 Army and most recently, Holy Cross.
In its last time out, Loyola University Maryland showed late fight as they cut their deficit down to four in the fourth quarter, but an early deficit proved too much to overcome in a 14-9 loss to Holy Cross. Morgan Quade led the Greyhounds with two goals, while six other Loyola players found the back of the net. Emma Talago, Elisa Faklaris, and Mim Suares-Jury each added a goal and an assist.
Elisa Faklaris leads the team in scoring with 35 goals on the season.
Morgan Quade leads the Greyhounds in assists with 28 and total points with 52 (24 goals, 28 assists).

This will be the 22nd meeting between the two teams in program history.
In the first meeting between the two teams in 1982, the Greyhounds won 18-5.
