Men’s Golf Finishes T-10th at Penn State

RESULTS
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Taylor Kuehn (72), Jack Hartman (72), and James Robbins (73) all posted final rounds within two shots of par, but the Bison couldn't get a similar fourth score and dropped to a tie for 10th place at Penn State's Rutherford Intercollegiate, which wrapped up Sunday at the PSU Blue Course.
The Bison posted rounds of 288-292-297 for an 877 total. That was tied with Loyola Chicago for 10th and ahead of Long Island (887) and Binghamton (892). The host Nittany Lions finished with a 9-under-par total of 843 and outran George Mason by 11 shots for the title. Rhode Island (855), Yale (858), and St. Thomas (859) rounded out the top five.
Robbins was the low Bison for the weekend with a 3-over 216 (72-71-73), good for a T-23rd finish. Kuehn made back-to-back birdies on holes 15 and 16 to get back to +1 in his final round. Kuehn had a strong tournament with rounds of 71-74-72 for a 4-over total of 217.
Hartman made two birdies and three bogeys en route to his final-round 72. He shot 72-76-72 to finish at +7. Hayden Quinn was Bucknell's fourth counter on Sunday with an 80.
Former Bison Andres Barraza, now with Penn State, closed with a 68 to claim medalist honors with a 5-under 208. Arsit Areephun of Delaware finished second, two shots back.
The Bison will now prep for the Patriot League Championship, which gets underway on Friday at the West Point Golf Course.
