About the Bison

Bucknell heads about an hour to the west this weekend to compete in Penn State's Rutherford Intercollegiate on the PSU Blue Course. This will the team's final tuneup prior to next week's Patriot League Championship at West Point.
Tee times start at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, and the Bucknell contingent will be in the later wave with start times ranging from 8:24 to 9:09. The Bison are paired with St. John's and Binghamton on day one.
Jack Hartman, Taylor Kuehn, James Robbins, Hayden Quinn, and Henry Bolster will tee it up at Penn State, with Jaxon Brown playing as an individual.
The Bison have seen good competition and good golf courses this spring, with events at Palm Valley GC in Arizona, Torrey Pines in La Jolla, Calif., and Galloway National in New Jersey. The team is averaging just a shade over 300 on the spring.
Hartman leads the team in scoring average for the spring (73.7) and full season (73.6), followed closely by Robbins (74.7/74.9). Kuehn has also had a solid spring with a 74.8 average over six rounds. Hartman leads the team with three under-par rounds in the spring and six total in 2025-26.
The Bison played in five fall tournaments, with a top finish of T-4th at Colgate's Alex Lagowitz Memorial.
Penn State has won their own spring tournament 31 times in the previous 48 years. The Nittany Lions had won it six years in a row until Delaware broke that streak last season, shooting 3-under over 54 holes to beat Long Island by four shots. Penn State finished sixth, and Bucknell was hampered by a tough second round in a 10th-place finish.

This year's Patriot League Championship will be contested at the West Point Golf Course Apr. 24-26.
Bucknell finished T-4th at last year's Patriot League Championship, and the Bison returned both of their all-league honorees in sophomores Hartman and Patrick Pritsios.
