Women's Golf Looks to Stay Hot at the Bermuda Triangle Collegiate

Bucknell is off to sunny Southampton Bermuda for the Bermuda Triangle Collegiate hosted by Lehigh at the Port Royal Golf Course of the Pompano Beach Club on Monday and Tuesday. The field opens up with 36 holes on Monday and wraps up with 18 holes on Tuesday.
The Bison will have five players in the lineup: sophomore Sophia Bardunias, junior Lila Smith, junior Nicole Yun, freshman Joelle Johnson, and junior Katherine Vice. Senior Paige Richter will compete as an individual.
Last Time Out
Sophia Bardunias won the individual championship two weeks ago at the NKU Spring Fling to lead the Bison to it's fourth team championship of the season. The Bison won the event by 10 strokes over St. John's and 25 strokes ahead of Purdue Fort Wayne in third place.
Bardunias finished seven over for the 54-hole tournament, finishing just ahead of Lila Smith who was nine-over par as an individual in the tournament.
The top-15 in the individual field was flooded with Bison as Nicole tied for fifth (+13), Joelle Johnson tied for eighth (+14) and Katherine Vice finished in 11th (+15). Paige Richter tied for 36th in the tournament.
About the Bison
Bucknell added to its historic season with its fourth team championship of 2025-26 at the NKU Spring Fling. Bucknell had only ever won two tournaments in one season back in 2010-11. The Bison opened the season with back-to-back wins at the Bucknell Invitational and the Battle at the Creek. The Bison also won the Red Flash Invitational to wrap up the fall slate. The Bison also finished second at th eNAvy Fall Invitational and third at El Campeon Collegiate.
The Bison made history with a 36- and a 54-hole at the Bucknell Invitational. Bucknell shot an 885 for the tournament to smash its previous best of 896 set back in 2023. The Bison then shot an 893 at the Battle at the Creek.
Bucknell opened its fall season with back-to-back tournament wins for the first time in program history. The Bison dominated at home in the Bucknell Invitational, defeating the field of 17 teams by 33 strokes. Bucknell then won by two strokes at the Battle at the Creek in a field of 15 teams with an 899. The Bison capped off the fall slate with a win at the Red Flash Invitational.
The Bison have also cleaned up in the Patriot League weekly awards, winning nine Golfer of the Week awards in eight weekends of competition. Bardunias has the most recent honor after her win at the NKU Spring Fling. This was the sophomore's third honor of the season and sixth career award. Her six awards are the most in school history since they started in 2018-19. Paige Richter is second with three career awards, and she has two already this season.
Katherine Vice won the honor after winning the Bucknell Invitational. Joelle Johnson has two awards and Nicole Yun has one award this season.
Vice and Johnson tied for first at the Bucknell Invitational, and Vice won the trophy in a playoff. Johnson came in second place at the Battle at the Creek. The Bison had six rounds that are in Bucknell's all-time top-10 for a single round. Individually, the Bison had 17 top-10 finishes in the fall.
Johnson led the team in the fall with a 74.1 average over the five events. She posted four top-10 finishes and shot one round under par.
Richter played in three events in the fall, making the top-10 of the individual field in each event. She was second on the team with a 74.9 average.
Bardunias had four top-10 finishes in the fall with a 75.2 average. Yun averaged a 75.7 with two top-10 finishes. Vice averaged a 76.4 in all five events. Smith averaged a 78.0 and von Behren averaged a 78.3.
