RESULTS
LA JOLLA, Calif. – The Bucknell men's golf team wrapped up its week at the famed Torrey Pines Golf Club with one of its best rounds of the season, a 1-under-par 287 on the North Course. The Bison rebounded nicely after a tough opening round and finished the 54-hole UC San Diego Invitational in 14th place.
Three Bison broke par on Tuesday. Taylor Kuehn and Jack Hartman both carded 2-under 70s, and James Robbins posted a 1-under 71. Patrick Pritsios, who shot 70 in the second round, finished with a 76, and Jaxon Brown shot 78. Hayden Quinn, playing as an individual, wrapped up a strong week with a 72 on the heels of a pair of 74s.
Kuehn's 70 was his best as a Bison. He made four birdies with just two bogeys, and dating back to the end of his second round, he played his final 24 holes 6-under. Hartman's 70 was his best round of the tournament after opening with 75-77. He was 2-over through six holes and then made four birdies and eight pars over his last 12.
Robbins capped off a nice 73-72-71 showing, and he was Bucknell low man for the week in a tie for 25th place. He tallied two birdies, 16 pars, and only one bogey in the final round.
Pritsios was undone by a tough six-hole stretch early the day on Tuesday. He was 7-over on holes 13-18, but he came back around to the front and birdied four of his final 10 holes to get something out of the round and post a counting score.
Loyola Marymount capped off a wire-to-wire victory with a 3-under 284. The Lions' 18-under 846 total was good for a seven-stroke win over runner-up UC Santa Barbara. UC San Diego (855), Drexel (857), and DePaul (860) rounded out the top five.
LMU's Nateeshvar Anatha Ganesh opened with 66-65 before finishing with an even-par 72. He had plenty of cushion to bring home the individual title, winning by two over Creighton's Grant Feldman, who charged to the finish with a 65 of his own.
Next up for the Bison is the Galloway Intercollegiate, hosted by Villanova at Galloway National GC in New Jersey on Apr. 5-6.
