Men’s Golf Improves in Round Two, Sits in 13th Place at The Goat

RESULTS
ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Bucknell men's golf team shook off a slow start with a solid 292 effort in the second of two rounds on Saturday, and the Bison sit in 13th place at The Goat, hosted by Navy. Jack Hartman and Taylor Kuehn both carded even-par 71s to lead Bucknell to a strong bounce-back in the afternoon.
Bucknell began the 54-hole tournament with a 312 tally, led by Hartman's 77. Hartman, Kuehn, and Patrick Pritsios (73) made three birdies each in the second round, as the Bison chopped 20 strokes off their morning total. James Robbins' 76 was the fourth counting score in the second round.
Hartman is the low Bison through 36 holes, as his 6-over 148 puts him in a tie for 31st place. Kuehn is one back in T-36th.
Loyola shot 289-284 for a 573 total, and the Greyhounds have a one-shot lead over Seton Hall heading into Sunday's final round. Connecticut and Navy are tied for third at 578, with George Washington in fifth at 581.
Navy's Jack Tarzy, whose sister Lea played soccer at Bucknell, opened with a 5-under 66 and followed it up with an even-par 71. At 5-under for the tournament, he has a one-shot lead over Georgetown's Barnes Blake (68-70). Manuale Barbachano of George Washington (-2), Will Hennessee of Seton Hall (-1), and Jackson Roman of Loyola (-1) are also in red numbers.
The third and final round gets underway at 8 a.m. on Sunday. Bucknell will be paired with Colgate and Columbia, going off the 10th tee starting at 9:30 a.m.
