About the Bison
- Bucknell continues its busy September schedule this weekend at The Goat, Navy's fall tournament. The Bison will be one of five Patriot League teams in the 16-team field, joining Navy, Colgate, Lafayette, and Loyola.
- Bucknell will be paired up with George Washington and Harvard for the first and second rounds on Saturday. The Bison lineup features Jack Hartman, Patrick Pritsios, Taylor Kuehn, James Robbins, and Henry Bolster. Hartman is a Bethesda, Md., native who will be playing close to home. He and Pritsios (Alexandria, Va.) both attended Gonzaga College H.S. in Washington, D.C.
- This is the third of five fall events for the Bison. They started off strong with a T-4th finish at Colgate's Alex Lagowitz Memorial. Earlier this week Bucknell finished eighth at the Blue Hen Invitational at White Clay Creek CC.
- Hartman, the reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Year, paced the Bison with a third-place effort at Colgate on Sept. 6-7. Hartman shot 71-71-72 for a 2-under total of 214.
- Kuehn, in his first season at Bucknell after transferring from Samford, also posted a top-20 finish (T-16th) with rounds of 71-74-74. Bucknell compiled a 2-under 286 team score in the opening round. In addition to the 71s from Hartman and Kuehn, Robbins and Pritsios both carded even-par 72s.
- Hartman was the low Bison once again last week at Delaware's event. He shook off an opening-round 78 to finish 71-74 on the challenging par-72 White Clay Creek course. That was good for an 11th-place finish.
- Four of Hartman's six rounds this season have been even par or better, and he leads the team with a 72.8 scoring average.
- Bucknell finished T-4th at last year's Patriot League Championship, and the Bison returned both of their all-league honorees in sophomores Hartman and Pritsios.
- The Bison finished 10th at The Goat last fall, posting rounds of 302-297-292. Hartman, Hayden Quinn, and Michael Rudnick all finished T-28th at 8-over-par for 54 holes.
- Defending individual champion Gustavo Rangel of Loyola is back in the field this year. Pacific won the inaugural team title in 2024 with a 1-under total of 851.
- The Bison return to action on Sept. 29-30 at the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational, hosted by West Virginia at Mystic Rock Resort in Farmington, Pa.
