LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell senior Kona Glenn was named to the Academic All-Patriot League Rowing Team on Thursday. A four-year varsity team member, Glenn has been a Dean's List student with a double major in computer science & engineering and applied mathematics.
Glenn has spent the last two seasons stroking Bucknell's Varsity Four after rowing in the Varsity Eight during her first two collegiate campaigns. This year's 1V4+ qualified for the Grand Final at the Patriot League Championships and finished in sixth place. Earlier in the spring, the crew won gold medals at the Ford Lake Cup in Michigan and bronze at the Knecht Cup in New Jersey. The latter performance resulted in a Patriot League Boat of the Week citation.
Glenn was part of Bucknell's 2022 1V8+ that captured first place at the Patriot League Championships and earned PL Boat of the Year honors. She competed at the Henley Women's Regatta in England later that summer.
Away from the water, Glenn has served as an undergraduate research assistant and a mathematics grader during her time at Bucknell, and last summer she interned with the National Institute for Undersea Vehicle Technology in Connecticut.
She is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery and the Society of Women Engineers, and within the Department of Athletics she has been active with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, the Bison Cares community service affinity group, and the Igniting Leaders program.
