GRASONVILLE, Md. – Freshman Sophia Bardunias carded rounds of 79 and 75 to gain a share of the individual lead, and the Bucknell women's golf team is in second place after a 36-hole day at the Prospect Bay Intercollegiate. The Bison posted team scores of 317 and 314, and their 631 total is eight shots behind leader LIU heading into Sunday's final round.

Bardunias birdied the first and eighth holes on the way to her 3-over-par 75 in the second round. That was the second-best score in the field all day, and it pushed her into a tie for the lead along with the LIU tandem of Hailey Holdby and Vanessa Moreno.

Paige Richter and Lila Smith are also in the top 10 after 36 holes. Richter posted a pair of 79s and is tied for fifth place, four shots off the lead. Smith is T-9th after turning in rounds of 79 and 81. Not far behind are Katherine Vice (83-79), Nicole Yun (81-82), and Tara Thomas (82-82). The tournament uses a play-6, count-4 format.

Bucknell heads into the final round seven strokes clear of third-place Sacred Heart (638), while Fairfield (642) and Siena (654) round out the top five in a nine-team field.

The third and final round gets underway at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
