Caffrey's Call
"It is hard to believe that we start Patriot League play this weekend. The non-conference segment flew by and I think we have seen tremendous growth from this team. It has been fun to watch them mesh together with our new players and upperclassmen. I really wanted the preseason to prepare us for conference and I feel that it has. As we transition into the most competitive part of the season, I think the overwhelming feeling is excitement. I think this team feels prepared and more confident to take on anyone, and Boston at home is a great place to start. We know they are traditionally very talented but the focus is on us and what we need to do to be successful. This entire season we have focused on the journey and how to get to where we want to go. We're not trying to be perfect in every game but rather focus on the little things an the process to get us there. We're looking forward to a great conference season, a great weekend at home, and being able to see our fans in the stands at Becker Field this weekend."
Bucknell travels to West Point to face the Army Black Knights in a three-game conference series (March 29-30).
