Men's Track & Field Sails to Annapolis for Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell men's track & field team heads to Annapolis this weekend for the Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Bison finished fourth last year and are aiming to break into the top three.

Patriot League on ESPN+ Coverage
Track events for the 2024-25 Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Championships will be streamed on ESPN+. Field events during the championship will not be streamed, but up-to-date content featuring Patriot League multimedia journalist Paige Messier will be available by following @PatriotLeague on Instagram.
Patriot League Championship Major Awards
All-Patriot League status will be determined by the event finishes at the 2024-25 Patriot League Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship, with first-place winners earning first-team All-League honors. The runner-up in each event will earn second-team honors.

Following the conclusion of the meet, the League head coaches will vote on several individual major awards. A men's and women's track athlete, field athlete and rookie of the meet will be selected. Men's and women's coach of the year awards will also be selected. The Patriot League will also present awards to the men's and women's highest scorers of the meet.

"This is a very balanced men's team - our most balanced in the past five years. The league is definitely better than ever, so we will be challenged to be in the top four and are excited for our mission."

Last Time Out (Bucknell Tuneup)
- Aiden Tacker had a Bucknell Tuneup to remember in the weight throw. His personal record of 62-00.25 unlocked second in the event and ranked him sixth in Bucknell history.Â
- Wade Shomper placed second in the shot put throwing 57-4.75. Braden Stryker earned fourth going 54-2 but he achieved a personal best of 54-2 and moved into a tie for eighth in Bucknell records.Â
- Garrett Backus finished second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.93. His new mark keeps him at tenth place in Bison history.
- The team finished fourth at the 2024 Patriot League Indoor Championships collecting 60.5 points, three silver medals, and one new school record.Â
- Ethan Wolford-Tuffy had a banner day. The senior dashman finished second in the 400-meter dash with 47.18. The mark gave Wolford-Tuffy the Bucknell record, shattering Robert Arent's 2012 record of 47.46. Wolford-Tuffy also grabbed sixth (22.09) in the 200-meter dash.
- The "A" Team of Amani Brown, Preston Lubeski, Colby Belczyk, and Wolford-Tuffy in the 4x400-meter relay finished second. The quartet's time of 3:13.91 ranked third in Bucknell history.
- Tristan An won silver in the high jump. The junior leaper had an attempt of 6-9. An's mark now ranks him tied for seventh in Bucknell history with Matt Murdock.
- Tristan An (High Jump), Colby Belczyk (4X400m), Amani Ndegwa-Brown (4X400m), Preston Lubeski (4X400m), Ethan Wolford-Tuffy (400m, 4X400m) all won Second Team All-Patriot League honors.Â
The Bison will open the outdoor season at the Quad Meet at Shippensburg on March 22.Â
