Donner's Debriefing
"We are very excited to compete at this year's Penn Relays. It is one of the most prestigious meets in the country and it is been happening for 129 years. With the Patriot League Championships now being three weeks after the Penn Relays instead of one week later, we can now take a much more aggressive approach to this meet instead of the more conservative and defensive approach that we have traditionally taken. The coaches and student-athletes are very excited."Â

Overview
- Bucknell will send six relay teams to the competition.Â
- US National Champion Evelyn Bliss and three-time NCAA qualifier Brylee Tereska will throw on Saturday in the Championship Javelin category.Â
- Madelyn Hudak will make her season debut in the Collegiate Javelin throw.Â
- Wade Shomper will compete in the Championship Shot Put event.
- Several distance runners, Kailey Granger, Ethan Pratt-Perez, Meghan Rentner, and Caryn Rippey will race in the 10,000-meter run, 3000-meter steeplechase, 3000-meter steeplechase, and 5000-meter run Championship events respectively.Â
- Many other athletes will compete in the College-level events.
- Bucknell's men finished third at the IC4A Championships with 71 points, despite not fielding a full squadron.Â
- 16 Bison won All-East honors.Â
- Keenan LaMontagne headlined a strong contingent with his victory in the discus throw. The senior easily won the event and All-East honors, throwing a personal best 52.44m (172-0) and reaffirming his third-best mark at Bucknell. LaMontagne threw the mark in his first attempt, and the distance held up for the gold medal.Â
- Bucknell dominated the 5000-meter run with three runners earning All-East honors. Cooper Hollinger finished second, racing 14:45.53. The rookie settled into second by 600 meters and, except for a temporary dip to sixth, easily held the position. Grant Kern placed fourth, logging 14:50.66. He made a late run from tenth at 3800 meters to break into the top five. Trent Dinant completed his final IC4A Championships, notching sixth. The senior registered 14:51.54.
- The Bison women placed fourth at the ECAC Championships, scoring 69.5 points without traveling the full arsenal.Â
- Kailey Granger's second place finish and school record in the 3000-meter run highlighted the day. Granger ran 9:38.55 in the event, as her time broke the school record of 9:40.32 set by her mother - Bucknell Hall of Famer Julie (Sweitzer) Granger - in 1999. Granger specifically trained for the event - not normally held anymore in Division I - for the opportunity. She led most of the way before being passed in the final stretch but the junior accomplished her goal - a new school record that will stay in the Granger family.Â
- Shaelan McNally continued her spring rebound by winning the 5000-meter run and adding her name to another Bucknell top ten list. The sophomore ran 16:46.43 and moved into eighth all-time at Bucknell.
- Madison Fowler shook off her performance last week in the hammer throw at the Bison Outdoor Classic to finish third, win All-East honors, and set a new personal record. The Bison sophomore threw 56.49m (185-4) to move into third all-time at Bucknell. Fowler started slow, hitting 51.54m (169-1) and fouling twice in her opening attempts. She made the finals, mentally reset, and uncorked the PR in her first try. Her next two throws also cleared 183+.
- At the Virginia Challenge, Alexandra Lea recorded a season best 53.21 in the 400-meter dash. The time placed the talented sprinter second at the competition and firmly ranks first in the Patriot League by 1.8 seconds.Â
- Jordan Muraglia elevated herself against the elite competition and set a personal record in the long jump, leaping 19-2.50 in her second attempt. The mark finished 18th overall but most importantly flew the rookie into third all-time at Bucknell. She narrowly passed Bison legend Karen Hull for the placement.Â
- The PRs did not halt with Muraglia. Sadler, for the second time this season, set a personal record in the Commonwealth of Virginia. After breaking her school record in the 100-meter hurdles at the Colonial Relays, Sadler moved up to seventh all-time at Bucknell. She won her heat and placed 16th overall in the 400-meter hurdles, running 1:02.04.
- Grace Camerlingo, the rookie sensation who finished second in the 60-meter dash at the Patriot League Indoor Championships, made her outdoor debut on Friday and delivered. She ran 12.19 to finish 47th overall but moved into a tie for tenth all-time with Sasha Hornock at Bucknell.Â
