LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell women's basketball hosts its home opener on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. against Mount St. Mary's in Sojka Pavillion. The Bison and the Mount have met 11 times since their first game in 1990 and Mount St. Mary's leads the series 7-4. At home against the Mount, Bucknell shares an even 3-3 record. The Bison have won four of the last five meetings including last year's game, where Bucknell took a 63-47 victory in Sojka. Both teams enter the contest with an 0-2 record after facing big opponents to open their seasons.

Bucknell's Last Time Out
- Bucknell women's basketball (0-2) fell to Virginia (2-0) 80-35 on Sunday afternoon in JPJ Arena. The Cavaliers went on a 13-point run to open the game and carried that momentum through the win. Despite a very close second quarter of scoring between the two teams, the Bison were unable to come back from their deficit due to turnovers, missed shots and being out-rebounded throughout the game. UVA used its size and offensive power to extend its lead throughout the second half.
- Captain Tuana Coskun was the lone Bison to hit double-digit points as she recorded 10 which all came in the second quarter. She also had one assist and two rebounds in the game. Freshman Kaila Richards came off the bench and led the team in rebounds with four and freshman Ella Kreuzer came off the bench to lead the team in assists with three. Reese Zemitis recorded two steals which led the team and was second in scoring with nine points on the afternoon. Four other Bison found four points apiece in the game; Anna Kunzwiler, Elana Weisman, Kreuzer and Richards.
- The Bison struggled to get the ball to fall in the basket with an overall shooting percentage of 27.8% on a 20-for-72 performance. Bucknell went 15-of-52 from the field and 1-of-15 from three. The Bison shot 80% from the free-throw line on a 4-of-5 performance. The Bison also struggled with turnovers as they committed 16 throughout the game.
- Virginia was led by Kymora Johnson who put up 23 points, seven assists, five steals and three rebounds. They also had one other double-digit scorer in Tabitha Amanze. The Cavaliers out-rebounded the Bison 52-23 and had 10 steals on the afternoon.
