Women's Basketball Names Two to CSC Academic All-District Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell women's basketball's Isabella Casey and Reese Zemitis were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday afternoon.
Each of the nominees were required to have a minimum grade point average of 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) in undergraduate or graduate study. The student-athletes must have also been a starter or key player with legitimate athletics credentials that played in at least 90 percent of the games or started in at least 66 percent of the team's total games played. The nominees were additionally required to have completed a minimum of one full academic year at the nominated institution.
Casey, a sophomore political science major, appeared in all 30 games for the Bison with 29 starts. She averaged 7.5 points per game and 3.9 assists per game and had 23 steals and six blocks on the season. The guard shot 72.3 percent from the free-throw line, 39.9 percent from the field and 32.9 percent from three. The Radnor, Pa. native scored a season and career-high 19 points against Holy Cross in late December.
Zemitis, a sophomore business analytics major, appeared in 27 games with 26 starts. She averaged 9.7 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game and had 27 steals, 23 blocks and 28 assists on the season. The guard/forward shot 34.7 percent from the field and 70 percent from the free-throw line. The Langhorne, Pa. native scored a season-high 21 points at Hofstra in late November.
