Water Polo Faces Navy This Sunday

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Bucknell men's water polo (7-10, 4-4 MAWPC) rides a three-game winning streak into a crucial conference clash this Sunday against Navy (12-7, 5-1 MAWPC). The Bison and Midshipmen will duel in neutral waters at Mercyhurst. The two teams met earlier this season in Annapolis with Navy winning 18-14.

The Inside "Herd" on the Bison

Bucknell hosted Mercyhurst and Mount St. Mary's last weekend and easily defeated the Lakers 21-9 and handled the Mount 13-9.
The Bison scored 47 goals in the two games against Mercyhurst.
Mateo Herrera received the start against the Mount and posted 12 saves.
The Bison were picked fourth in the MAWPC Preseason Poll.
Aleksa Stefanovic leads the team with 57 goals.
Eight Bison players have reached double-digit goals.

Opposition Overview

Navy owns a 12-7 overall record and sits 5-1 in the MAWPC. The Mids recently lost its first conference game 20-14 to No. 5 Fordham.
The Mids are receiving votes in the top 20 poll.
The Midshipmen are 1-6 versus ranked teams with the victory occurring against No. 16 Harvard.
Ten of Navy's 19 games have occurred in the friendly waters of Annapolis.
Kiefer Black leads the Mids with 49 goals.
