About the Bison

The Bison wrap up a busy fall season with its annual Bucknell Invitational, a three-day, 54-hole tournament at the Bucknell Golf Club. It's another large field this season, with 17 other teams joining the Bison, including Patriot League rivals Colgate at Holy Cross.
Bucknell will have A and B squads on the course this week. Patrick Pritsios, Jack Hartman, James Robbins, Hayden Quinn, and Taylor Kuehn will represent the lead group, and senior Lyman Brackett will join the freshman trio of Hunter Duncan, Henry Bolster, and Jaxon Brown in the B group.
Last time out, Bucknell finished 17th at the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational, hosted by West Virginia. The Bison posted rounds of 304-292-299 and were led by Pritsios with a T-48th finish (76-70-74). His second-round 2-under 70 was the low round of the fall by any Bison player.
Hartman leads the team with a 73.5 scoring average this fall and was the low Bison in each of the first three events. He has three under-par rounds, and 10 of his 12 cards have been 75 or better. Pritsios (75.4), Robbins (75.7), and Kuehn (76.1) round out the team's top four averages.
Bucknell started the season on a strong note with a T-4th finish at Colgate's Alex Lagowitz Memorial. Hartman paced the Bison with a third-place effort at Colgate, shooting 71-71-72 for a 2-under total of 214.
Kuehn, in his first season at Bucknell after transferring from Samford, also posted a top-20 finish (T-16th) with rounds of 71-74-74 at Colgate. Bucknell compiled a 2-under 286 team score in the opening round. In addition to the 71s from Hartman and Kuehn, Robbins and Pritsios both carded even-par 72s.
Bucknell finished T-4th at last year's Patriot League Championship, and the Bison returned both of their all-league honorees in sophomores Hartman and Pritsios.

The Bison have won their home tournament seven times, including four straight titles from 2007-10, Bucknell also won this event in 1981, 2003, and 2004.
Bison winning individual titles include Rob Wagner in 1981, Kyle Moran in 2004, Stuart Lindgren in 2007, Jeff Pike in 2008, Andrew Cohen in 2009, and Dan Bernard in 2012.
Bucknell finished fourth out of 18 teams last season, shooting 284-297-281 for a 54-hole total of 862. The final-round 281 was tied for the low round of the week across the entire field. St. John's won the team title with an 855 total, four strokes better than Colgate, six ahead of Youngstown State, and seven in front of Bucknell
Devin Smith of Mount St. Mary's compiled a 3-under 207 (73-67-67) to win the individual title by one shot over Bryant's Dylan Gallagher. Bucknell's Hayden Quinn was one of four players tied for third place at 1-under.

Next Up

This is Bucknell's final event of the fall season. The spring slate starts on Feb. 15 when the Bison travel to Goodyear, Ariz., for the Loyola Intercollegiate.
