
Kennedy Lovell Named Student-Athlete Enrichment Postgraduate Fellow

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Kennedy Lovell, a former member of the University of Toledo swimming & diving team who spent the last two years as a graduate assistant at her alma mater, has joined the Bucknell Athletics staff as a student-athlete enrichment postgraduate fellow.
Lovell was highly involved with Toledo's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during her time in Toledo, serving as vice president in 2021 and president in 2022 and 2023. During her time in SAAC, Lovell helped organize and execute numerous initiatives, including Mental Health and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Weeks. She also directed and planned Toledo's annual athletics awards ceremony and collaborated with athletic department staff to generate support for student-athlete needs.
As a member of the swimming & diving team, Lovell sat on the Mid-American Conference Council of Student-Athletes (COSA), where she implemented conference-wide initiatives on campus, served as a representative on the MAC's Student-Athlete Well-Being Committee, and wrote several op-eds on topics relating to student-athlete mental health.
After earning her bachelor's degree in English and communication studies, Lovell worked as a graduate assistant in Toledo's English department, was an editorial assistant for the UT Press, serving as a research assistant and as a content tutor for Student-Athlete Academic Services.
Lovell, who was a two-time Second Team All-MAC honoree, was Toledo's 2023 nominee for NCAA Woman of the Year and the MAC's student-athlete representative for the 2023 NCAA Leadership Forum. She earned a master's degree in English in 2024.
