Morgan's Message
Morgan’s Message is a national organization that advocates for student-athlete mental health. The national mission hopes to bring awareness and end the stigma surrounding student-athlete mental health. Morgan’s Message was created to honor the memory of Morgan Rodgers, a Duke University Women’s Lacrosse player, who lost her battle with mental health in 2019. In her memory the message promoted is “as an athlete, there is no shame in seeking physical healthcare -- the same should be true for mental healthcare. In order to close the gap, we must eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health together”
The Bucknell chapter of Morgan’s Message plans to spread awareness and work towards ending the stigma surrounding mental health through dedication games, destress events, community building, and guest speakers through the Morgan’s Message National Ambassador Program.
