Anna Harter
Student-Athlete Enrichment Postgraduate Fellow
Anna Harter joined the Bison in the fall of 2025 as a Student-
Athlete Enrichment Postgraduate Fellow.
Harter graduated from Penn State with a degree in
community, environment and development with a
specialization in sports studies in 2023. Throughout her time
at Penn State, she served as a tutor and mentor for student
athletes. Harter mentored over 20 Division I student-athletes,
supporting their academic success and personal
development while helping them maintain NCAA eligibility.
She fostered strong relationships with students by providing
individualized academic support, study strategies and time
management guidance. Harter also empowered student-
athletes to build their personal brands and engage with
Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities, connecting
them with creative resources and partnership ideas. Through
her time with the student-athletes, she was able to encourage
community engagement through social media strategies that
aligned with athletes’ personal stories and outreach goals.
In 2022, Harter served as the General Manager Assistant at
State College Spikes. Through this position she worked
directly with the General Manager on local engagement
efforts, promotions and corporate activations as well as
supported community fan engagement during game day
operations. Harter also organized and maintained partner
contracts to support future sponsorship opportunities while
in the position.
After earning her degree, Harter became the Community
Programs Intern and Coordinator for USA Football where she
managed and processed over 300 youth football camp grants
nationwide in collaboration with athletes. Harter was the
primary point of contact for external partners, ensuring
alignment between program logistics, goals and community
impact. She also facilitated the launch of start-up girls flag
football programs by coordinating equipment distribution,
providing resources and offering guidance to empower
program leaders. While at USA Football, Harter worked
directly with school administrators, coaches, and community
leaders to promote the growth of girls in football and expand
access to athletic opportunities. She also represented USA
Football at in-person events supporting award presentations,
community programming and participant engagement. One
of her other responsibilities with the company was
collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve internal
processes, event operations and community engagement
strategies.
