LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell Student-Athlete Advisory Committee has selected its new executive board members for the 2024-25 academic year. The four positions were voted on by their SAAC peers.

Through their collective efforts of communication, organization, and active participation, they strive to create an enhanced student-athlete experience and connection to the greater community.

President: Jack Roberto, Men's Soccer
Jack Roberto '25, a midfielder and team captain for the men's soccer program, served as SAAC's Director of Initiatives in 2023-24. Over his playing career he has appeared in 37 games and made 17 starts with three assists, and elsewhere on campus he has been involved with the Bison Finance Society and the Bucknell Student Management Investment Fund.
"The role of SAAC President is an extreme honor and privilege to be able to represent the amazing group of student-athletes that we have here at Bucknell. There have been paths forged by previous leadership that I am confident this new group of student-athletes will be able to build on in a meaningful way through our impact on campus and our numerous involvements in the greater Lewisburg community. It is important that we not only focus on our impact throughout this upcoming year, but also the precedent and future we establish for upcoming classes and generations of Bucknell student-athletes," said Roberto.
Vice President: Jen Sivak, Volleyball
Jen Sivak '25 is entering her senior season as a middle blocker for the volleyball program, and she served as one of the team's SAAC representatives as a junior. "I am very grateful to have been selected as the new SAAC Vice President for the 2024-25 year. I have had such a great experience being a SAAC representative this past year. It is amazing to see what this group can brainstorm together as we develop initiatives that are not only beneficial to Bucknell student-athletes, but to the Lewisburg community as a whole. I look forward to working alongside such strong executive board members, and I am excited to see what we accomplish this upcoming year as we further extend SAAC's outreach within the community," said Sivak.

Freddie Lapworth '26 will be the lone junior on the executive board and the second member of the men's soccer team. Lapworth, a native of Banbury, England, started eight of Bucknell's 16 games at goalkeeper in 2023 and made two starts as a rookie in 2022, earning Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week recognition once.
"I am extremely excited about the opportunity of being on the SAAC executive board. We are hoping that through our initiatives we can increase community engagement, partner with fellow groups on campus and create more interaction between not just student-athletes, but also the general student community," Lapworth said.
Director of Communications: Madison Roukey, Softball

"I'm super excited and grateful to be selected as the new SAAC Director of Communications and work alongside Jack, Freddie, and Jen. I'm really looking forward to supporting initiatives that enhance the overall experience for student-athletes here at Bucknell and connecting further with the greater community.
