Game One Recap
Bucknell jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. MaKenzie Hilling walked and Smith singled to first base. Brooke Popella singled to center field for the RBI and a 1-0 advantage.
Madison Roukey started in the circle and pitched to her usual standards, throwing a complete game with four strikeouts.
The Bison scored three runs in their third frame. Hilling again started the action with a single. Smith and Jones singled to load the bases. Popella struck out swinging for the second out. Bella Radican worked the pitcher and obtained an RBI walk. Annabella Hawkins worked some senior day magic and laced a two-run single to shallow left field.
Holy Cross tallied a run in the fourth inning when Jessica Mott homered over the left-field wall.
The Bison answered immediately in their fourth-inning at-bats. Speicher singled to the pitcher and Smith smashed her 39th career double to right-center field to score the speedy sophomore.
Holy Cross scored with two outs in the fifth inning. A two-out walk was the opening culprit followed by a single to shortstop compounded by an errant throw, placing the runner on third. Another single scored the Crusader, cutting the lead to 5-2.
Roukey settled down not allowing any more runs and finished the game with a strikeout.

Game Two Recap
Savannah Jones started in the circle and continued where she left off from her amazing performance against Boston, throwing six innings.
The Bison broke the game early with four runs in the opening inning. Speicher singled and Hilling replaced via a fielder's choice. Hilling advanced to second on a passed ball. Smith singled, placing runners on the corners. Jones helped her cause with a two-run single up the middle. Popella followed with another single.
Holy Cross made a pitching change but Radican used it to draw a walk. A Hawkins fielder's choice cut down Jones as she ran for home. Noelle Gardon singled to right-center field to score two more runs.
Bucknell added another run in the second inning. Speicher walked and Hilling doubled into the vacant right-center field terrain. Smith hit a sacrifice fly to score Speicher.
The Crusaders got on the board in the fourth inning with a run. A leadoff double was combined with a single down the right-field line.
Holy Cross made it interesting in the fifth inning when they scored another run for the 5-2 deficit. A double with one out and a throwing error by Gardon placed runners on the corners. An RBI grounder tallied the run.
The Orange & Blue put the matter to bed in the bottom of the sixth inning by scoring four runs. Speicher walked and Hilling singled. Ava Aguilar entered the game as a pinch runner for Hilling and swiped second base. Smith continued her hot Senior Day with an RBI single to score Speicher. Jones expertly tripled down the right-field line, scoring two more runs. Popella doubled to left-center field, making it 9-2.
Senior Hunter Vestal entered the circle in the seventh inning and despite yielding two hits recorded the final three outs to seal the win.
