Bucknell at a Glance

• Bucknell returns from its spring break trip to California, where it went 1-1 in duals against UC Riverside and Westmont College. The Bison went 5-1 in doubles last week, but they earned just one singles win in a 5-2 loss to UC Riverside on Tuesday. They then swept the doubles point and took five of six in singles against Westmont. Whitney King was Bucknell's lone singles winner against UC Riverside and went 2-0 in both doubles and singles last week.
• Bucknell has gone 7-2 in its last nine duals since Feb. 9. It has climbed to an 8-7 record after beginning the season 1-5. The Bison strung together a four-dual win streak in the middle of its last nine contests.
• King has won five in a row in singles play and is now tied with Abby Platt for the team lead with 15 victories. She's 9-5 in duals on court one and 15-7 on the season. Platt is 8-3 on court three and 15-5 this season, capturing seven of her last 10 matches. Tyne Miller, Anna Lajos and Tori Allen are each at double-digit singles wins as well.
• King and Platt are 19-3 in doubles this year, including a 10-3 mark in duals at first doubles. They've won five in a row. With 59 career doubles victories, King now ranks ninth in the Bucknell record book.
• Bucknell's second-winningest tandem this season has been Anna Lajos and Tyne Miller, who are 7-3 overall and 4-1 in duals on court two.
• Bucknell finished the 2022-23 campaign 13-13 (4-3 PL) and reached the Patriot League semifinal round for a second time under head coach Tammy Cecchini. The Bison defeated Colgate 4-0 in the quarterfinals for the program's 500th all-time victory in what was the 50th season of Bucknell women's tennis. At the end of the year, King was named to the All-Patriot League First Team and the Academic All-Patriot League Team.
• Bucknell returned all eight members of last spring's roster and added two newcomers: Tori Allen and Jaycie Mair. The roster is comprised of three seniors, three juniors, two sophomores and the two rookies.

Scouting Navy
• The Mids are off to a 16-5 record this season and will see their first Patriot League action of the campaign this week. They're coming off three straight wins over Butler, Marist and Marquette. Navy hosts Loyola and Lehigh this week before celebrating Senior Day against the Bison on Sunday.
• Navy returned the 2023 Patriot League Player of the Year, Emily Tannenbaum, and the junior is an outstanding 27-6 this season. Tannenbaum is 12-1 playing at first singles. The Bison took the doubles point last year thanks to wins by Whitney King and Abby Platt on court one and Madi Sebulsky and Caroline Marcus on court three. Platt and Tyne Miller both forced third sets in singles.
