Bucknell at a Glance
- With a favorable weather forecast on tap for Sunday, the Bison have made some schedule adjustments for this weekend. The St. Bonaventure match has been rescheduled from Saturday to Sunday at 1 p.m. and will now be played outdoors on campus. The Bloomsburg has been postponed until later in the spring.
- Bucknell won twice last week to improve to 5-2 on the season. The Bison dominated Mount St. Mary's 7-0 last Friday, and then on Sunday defeated Le Moyne 6-1 in a tougher test that featured a number of close matches.
- With his two wins last week, senior Tim Zelikovsky improved to a team-best 16-1 in singles, including a 7-0 mark in duals. With 58 career singles wins, he needs just one more to join the top 10 in team history. Zelikovsky brings an eight-match winning streak into Sunday's tilt against the Bonnies.
- Oscar Bain Moreno de Vega (15-5), Amar Tahirovic (13-4), Liam Kilmer (13-3, and Adam Stavrakas (11-6) also have double-digit win totals.
- Tahirovic, who plays in the No. 1 spot in both singles and doubles, has a team-best 18-4 doubles mark, including a 5-1 record in duals with partner Brendan McDonald. Bucknell has won the doubles point in six of its seven matches this spring.
- Bucknell now has an 87-34 (.719) combined singles record and a 48-22 (.686) doubles mark.
- The Bonnies are looking to snap a four-match losing streak, although the last three of those setbacks have been by 4-3 margins to Buffalo, Davenport, and Michigan Tech. Their two dual-match wins were a 4-3 decision over Niagara in October, and a 6-1 victory over Fordham on Feb. 10.
- St. Bonaventure went 10-10 last season and fell to Fordham 4-2 in the Atlantic 10 Tournament.
- Archie Graham (1-2), Rasmus Egehus (0-3), and Connor Turner (0-4) have all played dual matches in the No. 1 spot. Anargha Ganguly (9-6) and Jean Marrero (7-5) both have winning records playing in the bottom half of the singles lineup.
- Bucknell is 6-9 all-time against St. Bonaventure, but the Bison have won the last two.
- Bucknell won 5-2 in last year's meeting in Olean. Zelikovsky, Tahirovic and Bain were all two-time winners for the Bison. Tahirovic's three-set win over Egehus at No. 1 clinched the victory.
- Bucknell will next head to California for three matches during Spring Break. The Bison play Westmont on March 11, UC Riverside on March 13, and Loyola Marymount on March 14.
