Bucknell led 1-0 after Isabelle Monaghan found the back of the net, but it was all Princeton for the rest of the half except for a goal by Bella Schraa.
- The third quarter was relatively serene as Princeton only scored twice, and Bucknell tallied once on a Gwen Kallmeyer goal.
- Sidney Finkler scored two goals for Bucknell, and Monaghan tallied one, but Princeton grabbed six goals to win.
- Harvard and Bucknell face off for the first time this season after the Bison fell short three times last year.
- The last time Harvard and Bucknell met was in the Collegiate Water Polo Association Championships in April. The Bison fell 23-10 to the No. 3 seed in the tournament's first round.

- Harvard slightly cooled off in the third quarter, scoring five goals. Bucknell again totaled three goals off scoring efforts from Megan LaCroix, leading scorer Monaghan, and Smith.
- The Crimson padded their lead with four more goals in the final period. Bucknell scored twice thanks to Bella Moynihan and Smith placing balls in the back of the cage. Smith's goal came with six seconds left on the clock to finalize the scoring at 23-10.
