Bucknell at a Glance
• Bucknell plays at home for the first time in 2024 when Dartmouth visits Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium Saturday afternoon. The Bison are seeking their first win of the season.
• Bucknell has won 11 consecutive home openers. It last lost a home opener to 19th-ranked Delaware 11-10 in overtime in 2012. The Bison defeated Mercer 20-6 in last year's first game at Christy. They went just 1-6 at home in 2023 but were 6-1 on their home turf in 2022.
• Bucknell fell to 0-2 with a 17-10 loss at Marist last Saturday. The Bison opened the game by scoring three unanswered goals in 30 seconds to build an early lead, but Marist answered by scoring 10 of the next 11. Bucknell led 47-43 in shots, but Marist goalie Noble Smith made a career-high 17 saves. Michael Meyer, Cam Doolan and Connor Davis each scored two goals for Bucknell.
• Connor Davis currently leads the Bison in shots (19) and goals (7). He scored five in the opener and is third in the Patriot League in goals per game. Freshman Peter Grandolfo is second on the roster with four goals, including a hat trick in the opener.
• Senior faceoff specialist Brendan Coyle ranks 12th in the country and second in the Patriot League with eight ground balls per game. He's also won 53 percent of his draws.
• Bucknell is coming off a 3-10 (2-6 PL) season in 2023. Seven of the team's losses were by three goals or less, and three of its league losses were by two or fewer.
• Bucknell returned two of its four All-Patriot League honorees from last season. Dutch Furlong and Will Hopkins both made the 2023 All-Patriot League Second Team, and Furlong was a Tewaaraton Watch List member. He led the Bison in points for a second season in a row and ranked fourth in the nation with 2.92 assists per game.
• Bucknell was picked to finish seventh in the 2024 Patriot League Preseason Poll. Bucknell's roster consists of 28 returners and 14 newcomers. It graduated 2023 All-Patriot League defensemen Hank Bethel and Andrew Stanzel.
• Furlong, Davis, Ethan Gyllenhaal and Richie Striano were voted team captains ahead of the 2024 season.
• Bucknell head coach Frank Fedorjaka is in his 19th season leading the program. He owns a 147-108 career record and is just the second head coach in the program's 57-year history.

Dartmouth at a Glance/Series History
• Dartmouth opens its 2024 season at Bucknell on Saturday. The Big Green were picked to finish seventh of seven in the Ivy League Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll.
• Dartmouth went 6-6 (1-5 IVY) in 2023. It opened the season 4-0 before dropping six of its final eight contests. The Big Green defeated Holy Cross in their only matchup with a Patriot League squad last spring.
• Sophomore Emmett Paradine was named the 2023 Ivy League Rookie of the Year after notching 18 goals and nine assists as a freshman, and the Big Green also return Second Team All-Ivy League selections Nate Davis and Mitchell Myers.
• Bucknell and Dartmouth have never face one another. The Bison are 12-22 in all-time meetings with Ivy League opponents.

• Bucknell travels to Wilton, Conn. for a neutral-site game against Harvard at Wilton High School on Saturday, Feb. 24. The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
