LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell head men's lacrosse coach Frank Fedorjaka announced the addition of assistant coach Jared McMahon to his staff ahead of the 2024 season. McMahon arrives in Lewisburg following a standout playing career at Mount St. Mary's and having recently coached the 2 Knights Lacrosse club team.
"I am very excited to have Jared join the staff," said Fedorjaka. "He will work primarily with the face-off unit and the goalies as well as help out on the defensive side of the field. Jared brings a great deal of energy and enthusiasm to the office and to the field every day. He's showing a lot of confidence already and you would never know that he is a first-year collegiate coach."
McMahon led the Mount in points over the last two seasons and was a First Team All-MAAC selection during his graduate year in 2023. Playing under then-head coach Tom Gravante, who also joined the Bison staff back in September, McMahon racked up 118 career points on 77 goals and 41 assists to rank top 20 in Mount St. Mary's history. He started 49 games and was a member of the NEC All-Rookie Team in 2019.
McMahon served as an athletic development intern in Mount St. Mary's athletic department while earning his bachelor's degree in business and a minor in business analytics. He achieved his master's in business administration in 2023.
Since 2018, McMahon has coached players grades 9 through 12 with 2 Knights Lacrosse in Bridgewater, N.J. In the role, he implemented game plans and player strategies while developing drills and skills competitions.
McMahon is a native of Bloomsbury, N.J., where he served as a two-year team captain at North Hunterdon High School. He earned All-State honors and was a two-time All-Conference and All-County selection.
Bucknell's 2024 campaign officially gets underway on Saturday, Feb. 3 with a trip to North Andover, Mass to face Merrimack.
