Women’s Soccer Bags Final Four Goals in 5-2 Comeback win over Colorado College

Now 4-2-1 on the season and unbeaten in their last nine home matches (4-0-5), the Bison came from behind twice against the Tigers (0-4-1), reprising a familiar theme of late. Bucknell also conceded the first goal in last week's 1-1 draw with Villanova and 3-1 win over La Salle, and on Thursday the Bison took over the game after conceding a second goal just after the halftime interval.

Colorado College stunned the Bison with a goal just 50 seconds into the match. The Tigers won an early corner kick, and Ava Risser's inswinger went directly in as goalkeeper Jenna Hall tried to punch it away.
The Bison found an answer off a well-devised set piece of their own just three minutes later. Deda sent her free kick along the ground for a one-time shot by Henna Andican. Regan Wallace made the initial save, but Eva Frankovic was right there to punch in the rebound. It was the first career goal for the center back, who played her first two seasons at Pittsburgh before missing most of last year with an injury in her first year at Bucknell.
Wallace robbed Kalli Wethern on the half-hour mark to keep it 1-1, and it stayed that way until Shalom Prince gave the Tigers the lead back in the 51st minute. The Bison headed away a long free kick, but Kaelin Enga recycled the ball back into the box for Prince, who scored past the charging goalkeeper.
The Bison caught a break in the 58th minute, although it was a well-earned break after a beautiful through ball from Deda to Andican in the right channel. Andican's hard cross deflected in off the leg of a retreating Colorado College defender for an own goal, tying the game at 2-2.
Bucknell found the go-ahead goal seemingly out of nothing with 15 minutes to play. Frankovic won back possession in her own end and found White near the sideline. White delivered a long ball ahead, and Andican harassed the Tigers defender into a weak back pass toward their keeper. That led to a breakaway for Andican, who was eventually tackled from behind, resulting in a penalty kick.

White, who converted two sublime PKs in the Patriot League Tournament last fall, did it again to give the Bison their first lead of the night. Deda then iced it with goals in the 84th and 89th minutes, giving her a team-high four goals on the season to go with four assists.
Her first tally came after a heavy touch took her to the end line after Andican's through ball. Deda then danced around her defender and played a little give-and-go with Paige Temple before slotting home the shot.

Five minutes later, Katie Schiano won a header in her defensive third, and Andican sent Deda forward on the counterattack. Deda ran at a defender and unleashed a rocket from 20 yards out that ripped the back of the net.

The Bison fired off 18 second-half shots and finished with a 29-13 lead on the shot board. Andican piled up a career-high 10 shots on her own, and Deda added eight more.
Wallace finished with 10 saves for Colorado College, while Hall logged five saves.
The Bison play at home again on Sunday, when Air Force visits Emmitt Field for the first time for an 11 a.m. start.
