Donner's Debriefing
"Our women ran a nice race," said head coach Kevin Donner. "We experimented going a tad faster than we normally would, and our women did a nice job during the transitional phase of settling in. Paczewski continued to run well and had a nice battle with two WVU women. Rippey is developing consistency, and it is great to see Clarke back with our front pack. Reinhard and Granger are also developing nice consistency, considering they are freshmen. It is back to work tomorrow with a great week of training set up."
Recap
Paczewski's time of 17:31.3 just narrowly missed tying for second as the silver runner finished with 17.31.2. It is the second straight meet where Paczewski was the leading Bison runner.
Sophomore Caryn Rippey dashed to a fourth-place finish on a time of 17:41.6. Rippey picked off where she left off at the Harry H. Lang Invitational by once again serving as Paczewski's second-in-command.
Freshman Hailey Reinhard broke into the top ten by finishing sixth with a mark of 18:08.9. She improved five spots from her performance at the Lang Invitational.
Reinhard was immediately followed by senior Ally Clarke, who earned seventh place (18:13.6). That represented a ten-spot jump as she returned to prime running status.
Freshman Kailey Granger, who won Patriot League Rookie of the Week for her running at the Lang Invitational, continued her impressive first-year campaign with an eighth-place conclusion on a time of 18:18.9.
A mass of Bucknell runners occupied the 11-14 slots. In order, junior Keeley Misutka (18:29.1), Laura Sakol (18:29.8), Maize Aikey (18:31.5), and Lauren Trapani (18:41.1).
