Donner's Debriefing
"It was a typical Paul Short Run for both teams," said head coach Kevin Donner. "Some of our athletes responded great to the competition while some struggled to get into a rhythm and got lost in the large numbers. It was a great learning experience, and I know we are a much better team than we showed today, so the future looks good once we get a few people in gear. Paczewski and Rippey looked great on the women's side and gave us a couple of low sticks. If we get a couple more to close that gap, we can be good by the time Championships come in a month."Â
Recap
Abby Paczewski continued her stretch as the top Bison finisher in races by placing 45th on a time of 21:17.1. The senior competed admirably against a host of top-tier opposition.Â
Caryn Rippey finished 51st with a mark of 21:18.9. Rippey has been racing silver to Paczewski's gold as the second-year runner has shown excellent progression during her sophomore season.
Freshman Hailey Reinhard finished 157th (22:10.8), and senior Laura Sakol placed 197th (22:30.2) to finish in the top 200.Â
Ally Clarke wrapped up the Bison scoring by earning the 200th slot (22:31.6).Â
