Donner's Debriefing
"Our ladies ran a nice team race," said head coach Kevin Donner. "I felt it was a nice improvement compared to the Paul Short Run two week ago. Paczewski and Rippey are showing great consistency and it was good to see Granger back near the top after battling some sicknes."
Recap
Captain Abby Paczewski continued her season streak of highest-finishing Bison by taking 16th (21:23.8). Her time also made her the highest-placing Patriot League female runner in the competition.Â
For the third time this season, Caryn Rippey was right behind Paczewski in the standings. The sophomore runner placed 17th and finished precisely one second (21:24.8) behind her senior leader. Rippey's time ceded her the honor of finishing with the second-best time for a female Patriot League runner.Â
Kailey Granger placed 38th (21:54.3) to give Bucknell three runners in the top 40. The freshman's finish proved crucial in the Bison beating Boston University for fifth place. Boston finished sixth with 227 points, while Bucknell received fifth on 206 points.Â
Another freshman, Hailey Reinhard, grabbed 71st (22:22.4) to serve as Bucknell's fourth scorer. She improved over 80 slots from her Paul Short Run placement.
Lauren Trapani ensured all the Bucknell scorers were top 80 finishers by earning 73rd place (22:23.5). The junior shaved 35 seconds off her Paul Short Run time and ran seven seconds better than at the 2022 ECAC/IC4A Championships.Â
Seniors Laura Sakol and Ally Clarke finished 96th (22:38.6) and 98th (22:40.1) to earn top 100 placements.Â
