Donner's Debriefing
"Our women are getting closer to hitting all cylinders as we are mostly healthy right now," said head coach Kevin Donner. "A health bug was passed around throughout the season that affected our runners at one point or another, but it seemed to be done, and all our projected top seven will be racing. We love the Colgate course as it is true cross country, and are prepared for it. Boston seems to be the heavy favorite, with Army, Navy, Lehigh, and us as dark horses. We need all our runners to put it together on the same day, which should give us a favorable result."

Overview
- The Bison placed 5th at the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Oct. 13.Â
- Captain Abby Paczewski continued her season streak of highest-finishing Bison by taking 16th (21:23.8). Her time also made her the highest-placing Patriot League female runner in the competition.
- For the third time this season, Caryn Rippey was right behind Paczewski in the standings. The sophomore runner placed 17th and finished precisely one second (21:24.8) behind her senior leader. Rippey's time ceded her the honor of finishing with the second-best time for a female Patriot League runner.Â
- Bucknell returns four scoring runners from last year's championships: Keeley Misutka (12th), Lauren Trapani (28th), Paczewski (32nd), and Ally Clarke (33rd).Â
- The Bison previously competed at the Lang Course during the appropriately named Lang Invitational in the first meet of the 2023 season. The Bison are banking on prior course experience to give them an edge.Â
- The race will be 6k in length.
- Bucknell's women's team is currently No. 9 in the USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic Region Poll, Navy is No. 11, and Lehigh is ranked No. 13. The Boston University Terriers are ranked No. 7 in the Northeast Region, with Army West Point placing No. 10 in the latest poll.Â
- The Bison women were ranked as high as No. 7 in the Mid-Atlantic Region Poll this year.Â
Patriot League Cross Country Major Awards and All-League Honors
- The Patriot League cross country major awards will be distributed following the race and are determined by the individual finish of the competing student-athletes at the championship. The individual champion of both races will be named the Patriot League Runner of the Year for the men and women. The top-finishing freshman in both races earns Patriot League Rookie of the Year honors. The top seven finishers in the men's and women's races make the All-Patriot League First Team, with the eighth through 14th-place runners making up the second team. The head coaches will vote on the Patriot League's Men's and Women's Coach of the Year awards.Â
- The Bison women will dash for regional honors at the Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Nov. 10
