About the Bison
- Coming off a solid fourth-place finish at Villanova's spring tournament at LuLu Country Club last week, the Bison men's golf team heads to the other side of the state for the RedHawk Intercollegiate, hosted by Miami (Ohio) at Pittsburgh Field Club. Bucknell will see Patriot League rival Loyola as part of a talented 14-team field.
- Bucknell's lineup this week features Jackson Bussell, Blake Wisdom, James Key, Andres Barraza, and Jack Gardner. The Bison will be paired with Eastern Kentucky and individuals for Monday's first round, starting on holes 16-18.
- Bucknell posted 287 and 292 team scores at the Wildcat Invitational and took fourth out of 15 teams. The best cards were a first-round 69 from Michael Rudnick and a second-round 70 from Bussell. The low Bison for the tournament was Bussell who was 2-over for 36 holes and finished T-13th. Wisdom (71-75) was next in T-23rd.
- Wisdom's 71.6 spring scoring average is the best on the squad, just ahead of Bussell's 72.0. For the full 2022-23 season, Wisdom (71.9) has a narrow lead on Bussell (72.2), with Barraza next at 73.5.
- This is Bucknell's first appearance at this event.
- Bucknell has one more event prior to the Patriot League Championship. The Bison will tee it up at Colgate's Upstate Battle at Seven Oaks GC on Apr. 22-23.
- The 2023 Patriot League Championship will be at Hillendale Country Club in Phoenix, Md., Apr. 28-30.
