Bucknell at a Glance
• The Bison are on the road for two of their final three remaining regular season games, including a matchup with the Holy Cross Crusaders this Saturday. Bucknell is 2-8 (1-4 PL) following its 11-8 loss to Lehigh last weekend.
• The Bison are currently one game behind sixth-place Lafayette in the Patriot League standings. The top six programs will earn spots in the 2023 Patriot League Tournament, which begins May 2.
• Junior Dutch Furlong was among the 11 student-athletes to appear on the second-round additions to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List. The prestigious award honors the top college lacrosse player in the United States. Furlong currently ranks seventh in NCAA Division I in assists per game (2.78).
• The Bison have collected five Patriot League weekly awards this season and 10 of the last 23 PL Rookie of the Week awards dating back to last year.
• Bucknell posted a 9-6 (3-5 PL) record in 2022 and was back in the Patriot League Tournament after missing during the abbreviated 2021 season. The Bison have missed the tournament just three times since 2005. Bucknell fell to third-seeded Loyola in the 2022 PL quarterfinals.
• Bucknell got off to a 5-0 start last season and finished first in the Patriot League in assists per game, ground balls per game and points per game. They were second in goals per game and shots per game.
• Bucknell set program records for goals (203), assists (127) and points (330), as well as a host of individual records.
• Bucknell was picked sixth in the 2023 Patriot League preseason poll. Additionally, sophomore Connor Davis was one of 16 student-athletes named to the 2023 Preseason All-Patriot League Team. Davis, who earned PL Rookie of the Year last season, scored 45 goals to tie for second in program history and was named PL Rookie of the Week six times.
• Bucknell lost 12 seniors to graduation, including 2022 All-League defenseman Drew Wellington and standout faceoff specialist Nick Crovatto. The Bison welcomed 15 newcomers this year, including 13 freshmen.
• Along with Davis, Bucknell brought back second-leading scorer Furlong, who finished sixth in the Patriot League in both shots per game and goals per game.
• Midfielders Cam Doolan and Furlong are the two returning Bison that started all 15 games last season.
• Seniors C.J. Baroni, Jack Feda, Conor McCusker, Andrew Stanzel and Danny Striano were voted team captains for the 2023 season.
• Head coach Frank Fedorjaka is in his 18th season leading the Bison. He possesses a 146-104 career record and is a three-time Patriot League Coach of the Year selection.

Inside the Lehigh Box Score
• After trailing 8-4, Bucknell managed to tie the game with four unanswered goals in the third quarter, but Lehigh prevailed with an 11-8 victory in Lewisburg last Saturday.
• Bucknell nearly kept pace with Lehigh in shots, attempting 37 compared to the Mountain Hawks' 39, and held a 20-13 advantage in turnovers, but Lehigh seized control at the faceoff x by winning 21 of 22.
• The Bison led just once with the opening score of the game, but they tied things up on two different occasions after facing multi-goal deficits.
• Connor Davis registered his fifth hat trick of the season to lead the Bison in goals, and Dutch Furlong matched Davis with three points on a goal and a pair of assists. Jack Feda and Will Hopkins also posted two points each. Rookie goalie Jaz Zanelli totaled 13 saves.
Holy Cross at a Glance
• The Crusaders are seeking their first win of the season, sitting at 0-11 (0-6 PL) following a 17-11 loss at Lafayette last Saturday. Holy Cross' last win was against UMass Lowell on April 20 of last year. It was the team's only win of the season.
• The Crusaders were picked to finish last in the 2023 Patriot League Preseason Poll.
• Senior Thomas McIntire leads the Crusaders in points (40) on 31 goals and nine assists. He scored five goals in last week's game against the Leopards and has tallied five or more points in three of the last five games. Junior Dawson Friers has started all 11 games at goalie and has a 16.07 goals against average.
• Bucknell is 30-1 in the all-time series with Holy Cross, dating back to 1991. The Crusaders' only win in the series came in 2017. Bucknell has held the Crusaders to seven or fewer goals in each of the last three meetings.
• The Bison defeated Holy Cross 23-7 at home last April. Alston Tarry set a school record with 12 points on equal totals of goals and assists, and eight Bison recorded multi-point performances. Bucknell won 23 of 34 faceoffs, and Rich O'Halloran registered eight saves in 53 minutes of action in the cage. As a team, Bucknell outshot Holy Cross 65-29.
