Men’s Tennis Blanks Coppin State for Fourth Straight Win

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Bucknell men's tennis team picked up its fourth straight dual-match victory on Sunday with a 7-0 blanking of Coppin State at the Central PA Tennis Center. The Bison leveled their spring record at 4-4 with the convincing victory.
Bucknell won the doubles point for the fifth straight time, with Nick Mueller and Brendan McDonald winning 6-2 at No. 1, and Amar Tahirovic and Tim Zelikovsky winning 6-4 at No. 2.
Mueller at No. 2, Zelikovsky at No. 3, and McDonald at No. 4 all won singles matches in straight sets. Tahirovic at No. 1 and Oscar Bain Moreno de Vega at No. 5 won their first sets at love before their opponents defaulted.
Bucknell has two matches on tap next weekend. The Bison will face Siena on Friday in Hershey before traveling to St. Bonaventure on Sunday.
