Bucknell at a Glance
• Bucknell enters the weekend 1-1 following its 12-9 loss to Robert Morris last Saturday. The Bison take on the Richmond Spiders in their first road contest of the season.
• Bucknell is one of four Patriot League programs with a win on the ledger, while Navy leads the group with a 3-0 start to the campaign.
• Bucknell collected its third Patriot League weekly award on Monday, as Will Hopkins was voted Rookie of the Week. He's the second Bison freshman to earn the honor this season, and Bucknell has claimed nine of the last 15 PL Rookie of the Week awards dating back to the start of 2022.
• Bucknell posted a 9-6 (3-5 PL) record in 2022 and was back in the Patriot League Tournament after missing during the abbreviated 2021 season. The Bison have missed the tournament just three times since 2005. Bucknell fell to third-seeded Loyola in the 2022 PL quarterfinals.
• Bucknell got off to a 5-0 start last season and finished first in the Patriot League in assists per game, ground balls per game and points per game. They were second in goals per game and shots per game.
• Bucknell set program records for goals (203), assists (127) and points (330), as well as a host of individual records.
• Bucknell was picked sixth in the 2023 Patriot League preseason poll. Additionally, sophomore Connor was one of 16 student-athletes named to the 2023 Preseason All-Patriot League Team. Davis, who earned PL Rookie of the Year last season, scored 45 goals to tie for second in program history and was named PL Rookie of the Week six times.
• Bucknell lost 12 seniors to graduation, including 2022 All-League defenseman Drew Wellington and standout faceoff specialist Nick Crovatto. The Bison welcomed 15 newcomers this year, including 13 freshmen.
• Along with Davis, Bucknell brought back second-leading scorer Furlong, who finished sixth in the Patriot League in both shots per game and goals per game.
• Midfielders Cam Doolan and Furlong are the two returning Bison that started all 15 games last season.
• Seniors C.J. Baroni, Jack Feda, Conor McCusker, Andrew Stanzel and Danny Striano were voted team captains for the 2023 season.
• Head coach Frank Fedorjaka is in his 18th season leading the Bison. He possesses a 145-97 career record and is a three-time Patriot League Coach of the Year selection.

Inside the Robert Morris Box Score
• Robert Morris opened the game with its first goal 58 seconds into the contest, and it added four more goals over a five-minute span to take a 5-0 lead in the first quarter before the Bison responded.
• Bucknell outscored the Colonials 5-0 in the second quarter and held a 7-5 lead five minutes into the second half, holding Robert Morris scoreless for 21 minutes.
• The Colonials ended the game on a 7-2 run, scoring three goals within 33 seconds of each other in the third quarter.
• Bucknell held a 25-17 advantage in shots, but the Robert Morris goalkeeper racked up 16 saves. The Bison also won the turnover battle, 22-15, and went 4-of-5 on extra-man opportunities.
• Will Hopkins and Connor Davis each registered hat tricks, while Dutch Furlong led the team with six points on five assists and one goal. Andrew Stanzel led the Bison with three caused turnovers, and Danny Striano recorded six ground balls.
Richmond at a Glance
• Richmond (0-1, 0-0 A10) opened its season with a 15-4 loss at defending national champion No. 2 Maryland on Saturday, Feb. 4.
• The Spiders are in their first season competing in the Atlantic 10 and were picked as conference favorites in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll after going 11-5 last season and winning the SoCon Championship. Richmond went on to fall to No. 3 Penn in the NCAA Tournament, 11-10.
• Three Spiders were named to the Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference Team: Dalton Young, Lance Madonna and Jake Sanders.
• Richmond entered the season ranked No. 20 by Inside Lacrosse.
• Bucknell is 0-2 in all-time meetings with the Spiders. The two teams first met in 2018, as Richmond held on for a 9-8 victory in Virginia. The Spiders then defeated the Bison 13-11 in Lewisburg on Feb. 16, 2019.
