Men’s Golf Finishes 9th at Macdonald Cup

RESULTS
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Jackson Bussell posted his second 1-under-par 69 of the weekend, leading the Bucknell men's golf team on the final day of the Macdonald Cup at the Yale Golf Course. In a play-6, count-5 format, the Bison finished with a 359 team score, their best of the weekend, and finished in ninth place in a strong field with a 1,095 54-hole composite.
Bussell posted an even-par 210 (69-72-69) and finished in 12th place in a field of 72 players. The Bison senior made four birdies on Sunday, including three in a span of four holes late in his round.
James Key turned his best card of the weekend with an even-par 70. Key made 14 pars and offset his only two bogeys with a pair of birdies on the 3rd and 11th holes. Blake Wisdom followed with a 72, Michael Rudnick with a 73, and Andres Barraza with a 75.
Minnesota held off Harvard by two shots to win the team title. The Golden Gophers totaled 1,052 for the weekend, with Harvard (1,054), Yale (1,060), Richmond (1,061), and Michigan (1,069) rounding out the top five.
St. John's Peicheng Chen built a big lead with rounds of 64-65 on Saturday. He closed with a 72 on Sunday, and his 9-under 201 was good for a four-shot win over Yale's Will Lodge. Three others tied for third at 4-under.
