Gold Wins Singles and Doubles Matches on Day 1 of The Haggerty Championships

RESULTS
VESTAL, N.Y. – Harrison Gold made his 2022-23 season debut with a pair of victories on Friday as play got underway indoors at The Haggerty Championships, hosted by Binghamton.
Gold, a First Team All-Patriot League selection last season, was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Niagara's Trevor Masi in the Lane Flight. He also teamed up with freshman Brendan McDonald for a 6-1 doubles win over Army's Samuel Eden and Vishnu Bodavala in the Green Flight.
Also winning in doubles were Michael Owen and Gui Padhila. The Bison tandem got past Binghamton's Andrew Fang and Adi Ben Ari, 7-5 in the White Flight.
McDonald, Owen, Padhila, and Ink Chen all dropped their singles matches on Friday, with Chen extending Colgate's Mikey Weitz to three sets.
Play continues through Sunday at Binghamton.
