LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell volleyball (4-0) secured its best start to a season since 1998 when it toppled George Washington (0-4) at Davis Gym on the opening night of the Bucknell Invitational Friday. The Bison would hit better than .300 over the second and third sets and limited George Washington to just 17 and 14 points, respectively. The Bison gained separation in the second game with a 5-0 run that gave them a 16-11 lead, and they would hold onto the advantage the rest of the way.

The Bison never trailed in the fourth set and ended things on a 6-0 run to win it 25-18. Five of the team's 10 service aces occurred in the fourth.
