Brown continued that momentum with two more goals to take a 6-2 lead. Hodzic then pulled Bucknell within two, 6-4, on goals from Furano and Chloe Smith, the latter on a powerplay that Hodzic set up. Â
Â
The Bears took control of the game to close the second quarter, outscoring the Bison 4-1, with the lone goal coming from Bella Moynihan, over the final few minutes of the frame to take a commanding 10-5 lead at the break. Brown kept its foot on the gas in the third, keeping Bucknell off the scoresheet en route to a 17-8 win to advance to the CWPA Championship game. Â
