- Bucknell's eight-man senior class has combined for 44 Bison wins, and has Bucknell on 11 Patriot League victories with seven league contests left to play. The squad is looking to bring Bucknell to the Patriot League playoffs for the first time in their careers, with Bucknell currently holding the second spot (11-7), four games ahead of Lafayette (7-7)
- Bucknell has not qualified as one of the top two seeds since 2014, when the Bison won the regular-season league title at 15-5 before going on to win the Patriot League Tournament that same season.
- Although the Bison dropped two of three in Worcester against Holy Cross this past weekend, the squad ended on a high note, taking a commanding 8-0 victory in the series finale.
- The win was due in large part to the phenomenal pitching of senior Austin Odell, who earned his fifth win of the season on Sunday, only allowing four hits en route to being named the Patriot League Pitcher of the Week for the first time in his career. Odell's five wins are tied with Will Greer for the most on the team and second in the Patriot League, and the Bison are 5-0 in games in which the native of Chester Springs, Pa. has started in the league this season. Odell pitched a career-best eight innings to go along with a season-high five strikeouts in the victory.
- Greer also posted an impressive outing on Saturday, albeit in a narrow loss to the Crusaders. The junior tossed 6.1 innings, allowing just five hits and two earned runs while striking out five. The two teams traded impressive pitching performances, with the Crusaders just edging out the Bison on a walk-off single to take a 2-1 victory.
- One offensive highlight for the Bison in that game was Sean Keys, who hit his first career home run to center field to give Bucknell a 1-0 lead in the fixture. The first-year from Centerport, N.Y. has now recorded a hit in three of his last four outings, and two of his four hits this season have gone for extra bases.
- Bucknell had no trouble on the offensive end in game two in another walk-off defeat to the Crusaders, posting 13 hits in a slugfest between the two teams. Four Bison posted multiple hits in Jacob Corson, Tyler Dunn, Lowery, and Kyle Lyons. Lyons' three RBIs were a career-best for the junior. Dunn led the squad with six hits over the weekend, adding three runs scored.
- The Bison have out-hit their opposition 318-309 this season, with Bucknell posting 10 or more hits 16 times this season. The five doubles hit by the Bison in game two against Holy Cross were the most in a single game this season.
- In game three, Kellerman posted a big day, driving in a career-best four RBIs in the victory. The senior who is noted for his defensive prowess behind the plate has also helped out on the offensive end in recent outings, posting three multi-hit games in his last five appearances. The 12 RBIs for Kellerman this season have already doubled from his output last season, and he's also reached base safely in seven straight games.
- Nikhil Patel continues to be impressive coming out of the bullpen in limited appearances. The sophomore, who made his collegiate debut earlier this season against Saint Joe's, has not allowed a run in 3.2 innings pitched this season, posting seven strikeouts over that time span. Patel finished the job for Odell on Sunday, striking out the final two Crusader batters in pitching a clean ninth inning.
- Grant Voytovich continues to lead the Bison in average (.321), multi-hit games (12), and multi-RBI games (8). The sophomore has reached base safely in 12 straight games, and has also hit safely in seven straight games. Cannizzaro (9) Lyons (8), and Dunn (7) have also posted hit streaks of seven games or more this season.
- Bucknell took three of four from the Mids in Lewisburg earlier this season, with the squad taking two of three matchups in Annapolis last season.
- Anthony Sherwin and Cannizzaro were the stars of Bucknell's 3-1 weekend at Depew Field earlier this year, Sherwin was named the Bison Athlete of the Week that week after going 12-for-18 from the plate. Sherwin slugged .889, and posted an impressive on-base percentage of .684.
- Bucknell split two games against Lehigh in Bethlehem, with the Mountain Hawks battling to stay in the mix in the Patriot League at 5-9 in conference games. Dunn posted an impressive day, racking up six hits in eight appearances against Lehigh, while Corson also went 6-for-9 in the doubleheader. Corson posted seven RBIs in the two games, while Bucknell as a team accumulated 31 hits that day.
- After the weekend, Bucknell will look ahead to a midweek matchup against Penn State before heading to New York for what could prove to be a pivotal three-game series near the top of the Patriot League standings against league leaders Army West Point.
