- Bucknell currently sits in second in the Patriot League standings, earning its tenth Patriot League win of the season against third-placed Lafayette on Sunday, 7-2. The Bison became the first team to reach double-digit wins in conference play, and is just behind Army (8-3), who is in first place. Two of Army's three losses in conference play have come to the Bison.
- The win over the Leopards clinched the regular-season series against Lafayette, as well as an edge in a potential tie-breaking scenario between the two teams.
- Bucknell currently clinched an edge against both Lafayette (3-2) and Navy (3-1), with one game left to play against the Mids in the regular season.
- Bucknell has ten games left to play in the regular season for conference play, looking to earn over ten wins for the third time since its Patriot League Championship season of 2014, in which the Bison finished 15-5 in Patriot League play.
- Bucknell has not qualified for the Patriot League Tournament since the 2018 season.
- Bucknell's 1-2 punch of Will Greer and Austin Odell helped Bucknell take the weekend series once again, as the duo earned their fifth and fourth wins of the season, respectively.
- The two have stepped up in conference games when it has mattered most, with Greer posting a 1.61 ERA in four Patriot League outings, while Odell is at a 4.06 ERA. Fellow starter Tyler O'Neill has also put up a commendable 3.92 ERA in conference outings this season. Odell picked up victories in four of his conference starts this season, and the Bison also won his other start against Lehigh on April 3, with Jacob Terwilliger earning the win after pitching the final four innings. Odell and Greer rank first and second, respectively at 31.0 and 28.0 innings pitched in Patriot League competition.
- Greer earned his fifth win of the season against the Leopards, and has now posted back-to-back complete-game wins against Lafayette. The junior earned the tenth win of his career on Sunday, which is five shy of a spot on Bucknell's all-time wins list. Six players currently hold the tenth spot in the Bucknell record books with 15 career victories, with Mike Castellani (2014-17) the most recent player to reach the milestone.
- Bucknell has benefited greatly from the return of senior captain Chris Cannizzaro, who made his return to the lineup on April 6 at Penn State. The native of Staten Island has picked up seven hits over that time span, including a bases-clearing triple against the Leopards to put Bucknell up 7-0 in the series finale. Cannizzaro hit .438 in four games last week, with four of his seven hits going for extra bases.
- Fellow senior Logan Kellerman also stepped up in a big way for the Bison on Sunday, breaking up the Lafayette momentum in the first inning by catching a Lafayette base runner stealing, before stepping up with a big two-RBI single to put Bucknell up 4-0 in the game. In three games last week, Kellerman hit .625 (5-for-8) and posted an on-base percentage of .700. Kellerman's three hits on Sunday tied his career high set last season against Lehigh.
- Grant Voytovich has continued to put together an impressive sophomore campaign, posting an average of .364 last week with four hits, three runs scored, and two RBI. Voytovich's 14 runs rank fourth in the Patriot League, and his 23 hits in conference games rank second to teammate Anthony Sherwin. Voytovich also ranks second in conference games in RBI (16), and leads the league in doubles (8) in Patriot League play.
- Another senior, Brendan Lowery, has continued to excel for the Bison in a breakout campaign this year. Lowery ranks second to Voytovich in doubles in Patriot League play with seven, and his .480 slugging percentage ranks tenth in the Patriot League this season. Lowery combined for 16 hits in his first three seasons at Bucknell, and has already accumulated 31 hits in his senior season. The native of Randolph, N.J. has hit safely in seven straight games, and in ten of his last 11 appearances.
- Bucknell's batting average of .278 is the second-highest in the Patriot League to Lehigh (.283), which currently stands as the highest for the program since 2012, in which the team finished with a .288 average. Bucknell is also hitting .319 in conference play, second only to Army (.331).
- The Bison have posted a 3.66 team ERA in conference games this season, which ranks third in the Patriot League.
- Bucknell is 8-23 against Villanova in the all-time series, with the two teams last meeting in 2020. The Wildcats took all three games from the Bison in Florida that season, with Cannizzaro posting two hits and an RBI in a game three defeat in ten innings. Henry Novicki also posted a two-hit day for the Bison in game one of the series. The last time these two teams met in Plymouth Meeting in 2019, the Bison took a 10-5 win.
