No. 25 Bucknell Women's Water Polo Drops Two CWPA Games on Saturday

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell University women's water polo team dropped two games to CWPA foes on Saturday. The Bison fell 15-9 to Princeton before dropping a 12-7 decision to Brown on Senior Night for seniors Paige Furano and Larissa Hodzic.
Game One: Princeton 15, Bucknell 9
Much like the first matchup between the two teams, Princeton got out to a fast start in this one, scoring six of the game's first seven goals. Isabelle Monaghan scored the opening goal of the game on a penalty shot, but the Tigers rattled off six straight goals to end the first and begin the second before a goal from Boati Motau at the 5:54 mark of the second stopped the run.
However, Princeton kept its foot on the gas, outscoring the Bison 3-1 over the remainder of the period. Chloe Smith scored Bucknell's third goal as it went into halftime trailing 10-3.
Bucknell added six more goals in the second half, but Princeton remained in control, taking the game by a final score of 15-9.
Hodzic scored three times in the defeat, while Motau, Smith, and Monaghan added two.

Game Two: Brown 12, Bucknell 7
It was once again a quick start by the opposition that doomed the Bison in this one. Bucknell once again found the game-opening goal from Monaghan, but a 5-0 run by the Bears shortly afterwards gave Brown a commanding 5-1 lead on Senior Night.
Hodzic found Bucknell's response in the second to cut the lead to three, but two more goals from the Bears gave Brown a 7-2 lead at the break. Bucknell would get no closer than four the rest of the way, with second half goals from the seniors Furano and Hodzic not enough as Bucknell dropped its second straight game.
The two seniors accounted for five of Bucknell's seven goals, with Monaghan and Izzy Lippolis accounting for the other two goals.
