Bucknell at a Glance
- The Bison have played some good tennis over the last few weeks and now have two more indoor matches on tap this weekend. Bucknell hosts Saint Francis (Pa.) on Saturday at the Central PA Tennis Center and then will meet Delaware on Sunday in Elkton, Md., just across the state line about eight miles from the Delaware campus.
- Bucknell is coming off a 4-3 loss to Saint Joseph's at home last Saturday. Nick Mueller, Michael Owen, and Tim Zelikovsky all won at 2-3-4 singles, and Zelikovksy paired with Harrison Gold for a tiebreaker victory at No. 1 doubles.
- Bucknell beat two MAAC opponents on the road the previous weekend, edging Siena 4-3 before sweeping Marist 7-0.
- The Siena match was a nailbiter, with Zelikovsky clinching a 4-3 verdict with his win at No. 4 singles, which was the last match on the courts.
- Bucknell was dominant against Marist, sweeping the three doubles matches and then winning all six singles tilts for a 7-0 result. The Bison dropped only one set in singles, with Gold coming from a set down to win at No. 1.
- Zelikovsky has a team-best four singles wins this spring. Including the fall tournament season, Mueller (11) and Zelikovsky (10) lead the way. Mueller is 3-1 at No. 2 singles this spring, and Zelikovsky is 3-1 at No. 4.
- Gold and Zelikovsky are 3-1 at No. 1 doubles and Zelikovsy has a team-best eight doubles wins including the fall season.
- Sophomore Charlie Nordahl joined the team last week and made his collegiate debut in both singles and doubles against Saint Joseph's.
