
Women's Basketball Finishes Homestand on Saturday Against Stony Brook

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell women's basketball team concludes its three-game homestand at Sojka Pavilion by hosting CAA foe Stony Brook. It is the fifth home game for Bucknell and the final non-conference home game for the Bison.
Last time out, Bucknell defeated St. Bonaventure 59-44 to improve to 3-5 on the year and 3-2 at home.
This is the first meeting between Bucknell and Stony Brook since the double overtime matchup in 2019. Stony Brook won that contest 78-73.

• Bucknell is looking to continue its winning momentum when it hosts Stony Brook on Saturday in the final game of a three-game homestand. The Bison are 3-5 this season following Wednesday's win against the Bonnies.
• Two of Bucknell's three wins came back-to-back against Cornell and Iona last week. The Bison have challenged themselves with a grueling non-conference schedule that has included two ACC teams.
• The Bison have relied largely on youth through their first seven games. In their last five games the Bison have started one freshman, three sophomores and just one senior.
• Bucknell finished 24-10 overall and 12-6 in Patriot League play last season. The Bison reached the 2022 Patriot League Championship game playing as the No. 4 seed in the tournament, but they fell 65-54 to No. 2 seed American.
• Bucknell received an at-large bid to the 2022 WNIT and defeated Fordham in the first round before falling to Drexel in the second. Bucknell is the only Patriot League team with two all-time WNIT victories under its belt.
