
Men's Swim & Dive Remains in Second at Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's swim & dive team remains in second place after its second day competing at the Bucknell Invitational. The Bison grabbed wins in two events and posted three new program top-10 times. With 904.5 total points Bucknell trails only Delaware (974).
Results
One of Bucknell's two wins was in the 800 freestyle relay as John Gehrig, Shane Wynne, Justin DiSanto and Chris Kopac clocked in at 6:37.40, which ranks seventh in school history. DiSanto and Gehrig also teamed up with Leo Kuyl and Chris Fabian to post the program's second-fastest 200 medley relay time (1:28.63), which gave them a runner-up finish in the event.
Gehrig and Kopac also added second-place finishes in the 100 butterfly and the 200 freestyle, respectively.
Bucknell's other event winner on Saturday was Andy Dorsel, who beat out the competition from the eight other schools to take first in the 400 IM with a 3:56.55. The Bison cleaned up in the event, taking the top two spots in both the 'B' and 'C' finals as well. Wynne took third in the 'A' finals of the 400 IM with a 4:01.25.
Also claiming a spot on the program's all-time top-10 list was DiSanto in the 100 breaststroke. His 55.61 in the prelims ranks seventh in school history.
The Bucknell Invitational concludes on Sunday, Nov. 20. Events are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
