Eight Swimmers Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Eight student athletes of the men's and women's swimming and diving teams were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team announced on Tuesday afternoon.

On the women's side, senior Jennifer Bolden, junior Kelly Byrne, junior Sydney Dettmann and sophomore Clara Renner earned All-District honors. On the men's side, senior Braden Beagle, junior James Lombardi, sophomore Finn Franks and sophomore Caleb Hagadorn were named to the All-District squad.

In order to qualify for swimming & diving Academic All-District and Academic All-America honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average, and they must have competed in at least five competitions during the season or finished in the top eight at a conference meet.

All eight swimmers met the mark and combined for a 3.80 GPA between them. Beagle, Lombardi, Bolden, Dettmann and Renner were all named to the Academic All-Patriot League team. Byrne, Renner and Dettmann were All-Patriot League honorees this season. All eight honorees are members of the Patriot League Honor Roll.

Renner was the eighth-highest scorer with 81 points at the Patriot League championships, and she won gold in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:58.63. Renner was an All-Patriot League First Team selection last year and was the 2025 Rookie of the Meet.

Bucknell's 800 freestyle relay team took bronze on the first night, and Renner and Dettmann both swam as the Bison swam a time of 7:19.33. Renner also competed in the A-Final of the 500 freestyle and the 400 individual medley.

Byrne won gold in the 400 IM with a time of 4:16.24 to earn First Team All-PL honors. Bolden, Dettmann, and Renner took bronze in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 7:19.33 that ranks fifth in school history. Bolden helped set a new school record in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:32.09.

Lombardi broke the 100 breaststroke record with a time of 54.11, beating the previous mark by one-hundredth of a second.
