Men's Swimming and Diving Takes Fifth at ECAC Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's swimming and diving team took fifth at the ECAC Championships at Kinney Natatorium on Sunday.
Navy ran away to win it with 995 points followed by Loyola Maryland (609), Penn (379.50), Columbia (323) and Bucknell (310). Fairfield was close behind the Bison with 274 points.
The Bison opened the night with four swimmers in the B-Final of the 200 backstroke. Avery Kuhn won the final with a time of 1:50.62. Caleb Kubiak took third in 1:54.15, Chase Ferguson took fourth with a time of 1:55.34 and Nikita Bityutskiy took seventh with a time of 1:57.58.
Colin Smith swam a time of 45.04 to take second in the B-Final of the 100 freestyle. Dante Buonadonna took fourth with a time of 45.43.
Matt Raudabaugh and William Harpster went 1-2 in the B-Final of the 200 breaststroke. Raudabaugh won the final with a time of 2:02.96 and Harpster finished in 2:03.24.
Alex Crossing and CJ Meier and swam in the B-Final of the 200 butterfly. Crossing took third with a time of 1:51.16 and Meier posted a time of 1:54.54.
The Bison ended the night with a fourth-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay. Jason Kellerman, Smith, Harpster and Buonadonna posted a time of 3:01.32, beating Fairfield by six-hundredths of a second.
