About Bucknell
- Bucknell plays a single game at Lehigh this weekend for its fourth Patriot League contest of the season. It's Bucknell's final road game of the regular season as it plays its last five at Graham Field over the next three weeks.
- The Bison are tied for first place in the Patriot League with Boston U. (5-5, 3-0 PL) following a 5-3 win at Colgate last Saturday. The game up in Hamilton, N.Y. was a back-and-forth affair that featured three lead changes. Bucknell's five goals and 13 points were both season highs, and it attempted 20 shots for a third time this season. The team then suffered a 3-0 loss to Cornell in a non-league matchup.
- Putting together a career performance against the Raiders on Saturday was sophomore Isabella Pavlides, who accounted for five points on two goals and an assist. The Voorhees, N.J. native opened the scoring with a goal just two minutes into the contest, and she added another with under 12 minutes to play to give the Bison a two-goal lead. Pavlides now ranks second on the team in goals (3), assists (4) and points (10).
- As a team, Bucknell ranks third in the league in shots per game (8.09), goals per game (2.0) and points per game (5.91). The Bison are also first among Patriot League teams with 1.91 assists per contest.
- Leading the assists effort is senior Mackenzie Kile, who added two more to her career total against the Raiders. Kile is now up to eight on the season, which leads the league, and 27 in her career, which ranks fourth all-time in the Bucknell record book.
- Lily Neilson also made her way into the school record book with the 25th goal of her career, which is good enough for 10 all-time. The sophomore tied the Colgate game early in the second quarter with her 10th goal of the season, which leads the Patriot League.
- Kayla Kisthart and Maddie Rehak added goals over the weekend. Kisthardt is tied for third on the team with eight points this fall, and she's tied for sixth in the league in assists (4).
- Also appearing among league leaders is Kira Leclercq, who is tied for second with four defensive saves.
- Goalkeeper Clara McCormick started both games in the cage for Bucknell last weekend and has started nine of 11 this fall. She owns a 0.574 save percentage and a 3.04 goals against average.
- The Bison are now 0-6 when playing on Sundays but 4-1 when competing on Fridays and Saturdays. Bucknell is 2-2 at home, 2-4 on the road and 0-1 in neutral site games.
- Bucknell was picked third in the 2022 Patriot League Field Hockey Preseason Poll. American finished first in the poll and was followed by Lafayette, which is how the standings ended up last fall.
- Bucknell is under the direction of first-year head coach Kelsey Kolojejchick. Kolojejchick, a former four-time All-American out of the University of North Carolina and a Junior Pan American Games gold medalist, arrived at Bucknell after spending the past four years as an assistant at Harvard.
