- Seven Bison will be headed to the ITA Atlantic Regional, which gets underway Wednesday at the University of Virginia.
- The singles portion of the tournament consists of a 64-player Bronze Draw (formerly known as pre-qualifying), of which the top eight will move into the 64-player Silver Draw. The top eight from the Silver Draw will then join the 24 players who received byes into the Gold Draw.
- In doubles, it's a 32-team Bronze Draw, a 16-team Silver Draw, and then 32 tandems in the Gold Draw. The top four from Bronze and Silver advance to the next level.
- For Bucknell, Tim Zelikovsky and Amar Tahirovic will start in the Silver Draw in singles. Nick Mueller, Michael Owen, Adam Stavrakas, Brendan McDonald, and Oscar Bain Moreno de Vega will start in the Bronze Draw.
- Bucknell's doubles teams of Tahirovic/Zelikovsky, Owen/Stavrakas, and McDonald/Bain Moreno de Vega will all start in the Bronze Draw. They rank fourth, fifth, and seventh, respectively, as alternates to move into the Silver Draw if there are withdrawals.
- In first-round singles matches on Wednesday afternoon, Owen will face Duquesne's Bode Vance; Bain Moreno de Vega will take on Christos Dagklis of Mount St. Mary's; Stavrakas will debut against Dustin Ha of George Mason; and McDonald will play Villanova's Joshua Robinson.
- This is Bucknell's fifth and final tournament of the fall, following the Bucknell Invitational, the Villanova Invitational, The Haggerty Championships at Binghamton, and the River City Open at Richmond.
- Last time out at Richmond, Owen, Tahirovic, Bain Moreno de Vega, and Harrison Gold competed in a mini-dual format. The Bison excelled in doubles, winning four of their six matches on the weekend. That included a split of two doubles tilts against Delaware and winning three of four against George Mason. Bucknell also went 3-1 in singles against Longwood to close out the tournament.
- As a team, the Bison have winning records in both singles (32-31) and doubles (19-12) this fall.
- Bucknell's freshman class is off to a strong start. Tahirovic (8-2) and McDonald (6-3) have the best singles records on the squad, and McDonald is 8-1 in doubles, including a 6-0 mark with the senior Mueller. Bain Moreno de Vega debuted last week at Richmond and went 2-1 in both singles and doubles, and Stavrakas will make his collegiate debut this week.
- Bucknell's first-year class was ranked 27th among all Division I programs and sixth among Mid-Major programs by tennisrecruiting.net.
- Owen is tied for second on the team in singles and doubles wins with six of each.
